Delete your account
You can delete your Forever & Ever account yourself, from the app, in under a minute. This page explains exactly how, what actually happens when you do, and gives you a way to ask us to do it for you if you can’t sign in.
Delete it yourself, in the app
Only the account owner can delete the account — a family member, child, or loved-one sign-in cannot do this, by design.
On the web
- Sign in, then go to Settings → Privacy → Data Management, and tap “Delete Account Permanently”. It asks you to tap it a second time to confirm before anything happens. If you’re signed out, that link takes you to sign-in first.
On mobile (iOS / Android)
- Open the app, go to Settings → Privacy & Data, and tap “Delete Account Permanently”.
What is deleted, and when
Deletion is immediate and permanent, with no grace period and no way for us to bring anything back. Any Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked and any active subscription is cancelled at Stripe — along with the Stripe customer record — before your data is removed. If either of those steps can’t be completed, the account is not deleted and you’ll see an error; write to support@foreverandever.app in that case.
Once that clears, we remove your account, every child and loved-one profile, your memories, albums, unlock moments and highlights, your uploaded photos, videos and voice notes and their thumbnails, your face-grouping and consent records, your support tickets, and your push-notification tokens.
What we keep, and for how long
- Invoices and billing records are kept for the period the law requires, same as described at /privacy#retention.
- Non-current storage versions. Our storage keeps prior versions of an object as a safeguard against accidental loss, so a copy can persist in that backup form for a period after your data is deleted; those versions are not reachable from the app or the API. Our S3 lifecycle configuration does not currently set a fixed expiration for these versions, so we can’t give you an exact number of days here — see /privacy#retention for the same caveat as published on our privacy policy.
- Derived copies — thumbnails, video renditions, and the downscaled copies used for face grouping — can remain in our private storage until we finish extending our deletion routines to cover every one of them. They are never publicly accessible, and you can ask us to remove them at any time by writing to privacy@foreverandever.app. See /privacy#retention for more.
- This form’s request record. Submitting the request below stores a short-lived rate-limit counter keyed to your email, used only to stop abuse of this form; it expires within an hour of your request.
Can’t sign in? Ask us to delete it
If you can’t get into your account, tell us the email address on it below. We’ll reply by email to confirm the request came from the account owner before we delete anything — we never delete an account from this form alone.
